An interpretation of iPad in Car in way, how i use it for Maps, Music, Podcasts, speed check and more. There is mount that you need to solve and cooling for high temperatures. My Dashboard offers a cooling right to the iPad body from back.

Always keep your eyes on the road. Use your device only when not driving, or use Siri to do the tasks for you. I am not responsible for any damages.

Add iPad to your mount.

This is optional. If you have your option to snap the iPad, good for you. I wanted a magsafe easy snap holder. I created my own 3D print to hold iPad case in iPhone mount and glue it to old iPad magnetic case, where I cut off screen protector part.

Download Shortcuts + App

Shortcuts are made for settings app Birgthess, volume, contrast, make font larger, open apps like Music and Maps. You can change it directly in Shortcuts app.

Shortcuts also setup a wallpaper based on photo in album called CarPlay. I prefer Black wallpaper to my car, but also you can add what you like.

Create Focus

In Settings find Focus and create one for your car, my is called again Carplay. I also setup one new screen with widgets only. (Screenshot below)

Create Automation based on Focus

In Shortcuts app open Automation, click on + button. When Focus is ON, Do: Run Shortcut, choose the shortcut for Carplay ON. Then create same automation for Focus OFF.
